Leadership Without Borders: Critical Success Factors for Managing and Motivating a Remote Workforce

Live Audio Conference presented by Carol Hacker
April 27 from 1:30-2:30pm ET (Recording Included)

Do you ever feel like you’re walking a tight rope when you strive to maintain a balance between accountability and autonomy when managing your remote employees? Do you ever wonder what they are doing when you can’t see them and do you sometimes tend to think the worst? Have you had misgivings about employees that you personally selected to work remotely? Do you feel uncomfortable or less than confident leading a team you rarely see? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this seminar is for you.

With increased globalization and sophisticated technology that is changing at the speed of light, many managers are responsible for overseeing the work of employees who are not within earshot. This presentation is designed to help you fine-tune your management skills and get past the idea of “out of sight, out of mind.” Highlights of this fast-paced audio presentation include how to:

  • Determine suitability to work remotely by detailing the parameters.
  • Define what a home office environment MUST include.
  • Get comfortable giving critical feedback without making matters worse.
  • Forge a performance relationship by investing in employees who are worth rescuing and paying attention to your top performers.
  • Set measurable performance indicators that clearly define standards and expectations.
  • Find the right balance between keeping your remote workforce up-to-date and not becoming a nuisance.
  • Meet your employees’ expectations in the area of growth opportunities.
  • Handle security concerns and work with remote employees to develop secure systems for potentially sensitive information.
