Running Effective Meetings: Six Rules For Running Magic Meetings That Get Things Done

The never-ending meeting; the meeting where no one is paying attention to the one person who seems to be doing all of the talking; the meeting where everyone is wondering the same thing:

Why did we call this meeting and why am I even here?

Meetings fill an enormous amount of time in every organization and unfortunately, many of them are counterproductive and ineffective. In fact, a study by Salary.com showed that meetings were the #1 productivity killer in any organization.

A meeting is often referred to as a necessary evil, but that’s usually incorrect on both counts. They aren’t always necessary, and they needn’t be evil.

With a few simple concepts and strategies, you can start running and attending meetings that have real impact; meetings that are effective and efficient.

In this brand-new webinar, New York Times bestselling author Tim Sanders, will share his 30+ years of research on the art and science of running what he terms “magic meetings.” Using the concepts from his new book, Dealstorming, he’ll outline a new approach to driving innovation through effective collaboration techniques.

You’ll learn the six key rules that will ensure your meetings are effective and give everyone involved “high return on attention.”

You’ll also learn:

  • How to pick your meeting partners wisely
  • Strategies for preparing their minds for the meeting days in advance
  • Why it’s important to debate the problem as much as you explore solutions
  • How to use meeting tools and ground rules to move the meeting along
  • The importance of focusing on the next best play instead of the big idea
  • Tips for closing the loop with assignments, follow up and recognition

There’s no question that meetings aren’t going away. We need to meet, but we need to meet BETTER. If your meetings are less-than-stellar; if you are sick of sitting through another useless and time-draining meeting; if you’re ready to start holding meetings that actually accomplish something and are worthy of the time they take from your calendar, then this webinar is for you!
