Dealing with Unacceptable Employee Behavior: Learn how to take control of tough performance issues and get an action plan for attitude problems

Drama, gossip, negativity, low effort, complaining…

Emotions rule the workplace sometimes – and when it’s negative, it’s a serious business issue.

Negative attitudes and toxic environments are contagious and can wreak havoc – reducing productivity, damaging morale, destroying company culture, and ultimately increasing turnover (which we all know translates into even more lost revenue)…

Maybe it’s Negative Nancy/Ned – always unhappy about their job, feeling like their opinion is never heard.

The Minimalist – The employee who is just hovering above the bare minimum who may feel like he knows what the expectation is, but in truth, he doesn’t.

And then there is the Gossip: That perennial office caricature that unfortunately is all too real. Usually the center of attention, and unfortunately their “information” is little more than embellished suspicions or negative assumptions that just stir the pot.

No workplace is immune to negative attitudes and that’s exactly why every manager needs a strategy for dealing with it.

All of these attitude problems, and more, do have a fix. Emotions can be difficult to manage, but with some powerful tactics and common-sense best practices on how to deal with the behaviors behind the emotions, you can absolutely rein those emotions in and even turn them around to a positive.

In this 60-minute jam-packed teleseminar, you’ll learn practical techniques and skills to help you take control of tough performance and attitude problems. Guy Harris, Certified Human Behavior Specialist, Master Trainer in the DISC Model of Human Behavior, and a Conflict Resolution Subject Matter Expert will teach you:

  • How to identify these employee personalities (Backstabber, Gossip, Bare Minimum Employee…), and the specific ways to deal with each one of them by understanding the specific drivers of each one
  • How to stay calm and keep your emotions in check during conflict conversations
  • Communication techniques for persuading your “no” employees
  • How to effectively confront other people’s bad behaviors
  • How to use the SOLAR method of handling attitude issues (Stop, Observe, Listen, Adjust, Respond)
  • How to recognize and acknowledge the perspective of the employees with the toxic attitudes
  • An action plan that helps you avoid conflict escalation from the beginning
  • An approach for difficult discussions, including a 3-step process to diffusing the problem.

Bad attitudes that aren’t corrected result in a toxic workplace where productivity can plummet. Take this hour to really drill down, understand why these attitudes can become infectious, and learn how to turn them around. Yes, negative emotions CAN rule the workplace, but you can drive towards positive emotions if you have the right tools and tactics.
